Twenty-five years on from a one office start-up in Essex, Bertsmith Lettings the Rental Agents has grown into one of the largest specialist agents in the UK, with branches across Sussex, Hampshire and Surrey, Berkshire, Hertfordshire, Dorset - and is expanding fast!

Early on in our growth we recognised that property management is a specialist area and established Bertsmith Lettings to offer a dedicated service to landlords and tenants.

Landlords
Changes in legislation over recent years mean that landlords can now let their property safe in the knowledge that they can obtain possession at the end of a tenancy. Renting a property no longer carries the social stigma formerly associated with being a tenant as opposed to a property owner. 

Many professional people choose to rent today rather than buy -as a first time buyer they may balk at present day property prices; sometimes their work or personal commitments may require them to be more flexible.

The quality of tenants has improved which, in turn, has forced improvements to the standard of typical rented accommodation.
